The first snow of winter has arrived - in spring!

This morning we woke to a snow-covered estate. The bird feeders were busy from dawn. This blue tit made for a very colourful figure amidst all the white!

About this blog

I have recently started learning about Irish garden birds. I have been an avid amateur photographer for many years, and when my wife bought a bird feeder for Christmas we hung it in the tree in the front garden and very soon the place was alive with birds! Sadly, I was unable to identify most of them. With the help of a few friends who looked at my photos on Facebook I was soon learning! This blog is intended to (a) help me learn more about these wonderful creatures and (b) showcase my photographs of them. I hope you enjoy it.
